What is Hall effect and TMR?
Why Upgrade?

Hall effect sensors and TMR sensors are both electrical components, capable of sensing changes in magnetic fields.

Traditional joysticks rely on electrical components called potentiometers to track your movements. Over time, these parts wear out due to constant friction, causing the dreaded stick drift- where your gamepad moves on its own without your input.

But TMR and Hall effect technology change the game entirely. Instead of relying on wear-prone physical contact, Hall effect and TMR joysticks use magnetic sensors to detect movement. Here's how it works:

  • Magnets and sensors: Tiny magnets inside the joystick move as you tilt it. These movements are detected by the TMR or Hall effect sensor with pinpoint accuracy.
  • No friction, no wear: Since there’s no physical contact between moving parts and sensors, they don't wear down. That means no drift.

Why It’s Worth It:

  • Less friction, smoother gameplay.
  • Percise Joystics give you more control over your game.
  • A multiple of ordinary joystick lifetime.

How we do it:

  • You send your controller to us. (you'll revice where exactly at checkout.)
  • We open up your gamepad.
  • We desolder the old joysticks.
  • We solder the new Hall-Effect or TMR sticks in.
  • Your Controller is being reassembled and cleaned.
  • We send your good-as-new gamepad back to you. 🎉
